2012 TOURNAMENT RULES

 

1.  Time limit for all contests shall be 1 hour, 45 minutes, except for championship semifinals and final, which have no time limit.

 

2.  The International Tie Breaker Rule will be used in the 8th inning with a runner at 2nd base.  In the 10th inning and thereafter the runner will be placed at third base.

 

3.  The Mercy rule of a 10 run lead after 4 innings will be used, and will be applied with an 8 run lead after 5 innings.

 

4.  First team listed on field schedule has first base dugout; coin flip to determine home team for all contests.

 

5. The pitching distance shall be 43 feet.

 

6.  Pregame hitting practice will be permitted. 

 

7.  The Federation rule utilizing the "Flex player" will be in effect, as will the use of courtesy runners for the pitcher and catcher.

 

8.  Both teams must submit postgame completed line score to snack bar as soon as possible after the game.  Forms will be in your packet.

 

9.  Nominees for the All-Tournament team will be submitted by each team's coach.  Please notify tournament director of your selection(s) immediately after your final game.
