Karina is committed to play softball for the University of Texas.

Karina was a first-team Daily Breeze All-Area selection in 2009.

Karina was a first-team All-CIF selection, a first-team Pioneer League selection and first-team Daily Breeze All-Area selection in 2008.

Karina attended the 2008 adidas Futures National Camp, an event showcasing the Top 100 unsigned high school softball players in the United States.
